About Me

belief:

To give a brief overview of my background and interests, I would say I was creative from a very young age. From the very begining I was challenged by the era of technology I was exposed to. I hold a belief that Art with all its disciplines tells the tale of any Heritage, Culture or Nationalism. Growing up in a community with various cultures I had been focussed on the use of space which seemed vast, however the majority of societies in Africa never potentially benefit from their surroundings. I believe there is room for growth in Africa, yet the knowledge for progression is not yet there.

My approach towards this industry came from my natural talents, and those I later discovered that if steered in the right direction can be applied in any sense. I have been inspired from wide afield with works by Frank Lloyd Wright, Carlo Scarpa, Tadao Ando, David Chipperfield, Eva Jirichna and many more.

background:

I am originally from Uganda, where I designed and marketed Fine Art Sculptures, paintings, drawings and jewellery. As a sculptor I discovered my love of shape and form, with the ability to integrate the built environment with the natural world. My general awareness of the modern/contemporary world, pointed me towards a profession in Architecture and Design. I speak English, Swahili and Luganda.
